90 years of vision, commitment, and innovation

A legacy of growth and commitment

Like many other ventures, this business story began from a need, when the Matosas family decided to produce copper salts to treat vineyards in Mollet del Vallès (Barcelona). Thus, in 1935, Industrias Químicas del Vallès was founded.

The group grew in the 1980s with Regaber, a pioneer in agricultural drip irrigation in Spain. IQV’s international expansion was accompanied by the incorporation of companies specialized in water treatment, filtration, conveyance, and control, consolidating comprehensive management across the value chain.

Today, 90 years later, MatHolding is an international industrial benchmark in efficient and sustainable water and agriculture management.

With a team of 1,200 people in 18 countries, MatHolding operates in more than 140 markets worldwide.

A 90-year journey built on consistent work and long-term vision. A path grounded in commitment, sustainability, and impact on people, the environment, agriculture, and the planet.

In a context shaped by globalization and climate change, MatHolding maintains its dedication to sustainable leadership in the water and agriculture sectors.
