Since the birth of Industrias Químicas del Vallés (IQV) in 1935, the history of MAT Holding has been closely linked to agriculture. In 1980 the group extended its activity to the water sector with the creation of the Regaber company and in 2003 with Hidroglobal.

Over the last decade, MAT Holding has strengthened its position in the water sector with acquisitions of Israeli Dorot in 2014, the Spanish STF Filters and VICAN in 2017, the American OCV Control Valves in 2018 and the Israeli ARI Flow Solutions in 2020. In 2021 the A.R.I., Dorot and OCV businesses merged to form the Group’s water division, Aquestia.

The history of Mat Holding continues in 2022, where we advanced our purpose of caring for agriculture by giving access to modern techniques and digital farm management technologies to all players in the sector. To this end, we created VEGGA, the digital platform for crop and farm management, and launched TerraNostra, the project to modernize agricultural farms with high-value crops.
