VEGGA and BASF join forces to boost precision agriculture

BASF’s Agrigenio is a digital decision support system (DSS). The combination of both technologies will now enable farmers to further improve the protection of their crops, making their practices more sustainable and increasing profitability.

Thanks to the precision digital technology of both companies, farmers will be able to predict the emergence and spread of pests and diseases in their crops and optimise the application of plant protection products. “In this way, we promote a more sustainable and efficient agriculture, in line with the shared purpose of the signatories to the agreement, which is to care for agriculture and the environment,” emphasises Pau Relat, CEO of MatHolding.

As part of this collaboration, VEGGA offers farmers a digital platform that centralises the comprehensive management of their crops and agricultural holdings in a single location, equipped with the most innovative technologies. From now on, VEGGA includes BASF’s Agrigenio tool, which provides the most advanced predictive models for pest and disease risks on the market, allowing users to apply plant protection products with complete precision. “Our aim has always been to stand by the farmer, offering the best digital and sustainability solutions available.
