Parets del Vall\u00e8s, 8<\/span><\/b>th<\/span><\/b> March 2023.<\/span><\/b>\u2013 <\/span>In a year marked by supply chain disruption, widespread price and interest rate increases, and severe drought, the multinational group MatHolding\u2014an established leader in sustainable agriculture and efficient water use\u2014closed the 2022 financial year with a 9% growth compared to 2021, reaching a turnover of \u20ac364 million.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The group\u2019s growth is the result of its continued commitment to leadership in the two core areas in which it operates.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

On the one hand, turnover in the water division rose by 11% to \u20ac220 million. This division is headquartered in Israel and includes <\/span>Aquestia, focused on fluid handling and control; <\/span>Regaber, a specialist in professional irrigation;<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Hidroglobal, a brand focused on hydraulic projects; and <\/span>STF, which specialises in filtration technologies.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

On the other hand, turnover in the crop protection division, represented by IQV, increased by 6% to \u20ac144 million, despite rising raw material costs and the impact of extreme weather and drought in key regions such as the United States and the Mediterranean basin.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n\n

A Leader in Agriculture<\/span><\/b>
\nIn 2022, MatHolding further cemented its position as a reference in agricultural knowledge and modern crop management. To this end, the group launched two new business lines aimed at making modern, digital agriculture accessible to all, including small and medium-sized farmers. These initiatives seek to improve farm profitability and sustainability, help revitalise rural areas, and secure the long-term viability of the farming profession.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

One major milestone was the launch of a new farmland modernisation service, a business that, according to Pau Relat, \u201cmakes us the only player in the Iberian Peninsula that assumes the risk of modernising farmland and returns it to the owners in full productive operation\u2014while also sharing our agronomic expertise with them.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Also in the agricultural space, the group launched VEGGA, a new digital app for comprehensive farm and crop management, bringing precision farming tools to the entire agricultural community.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Geographical Performance<\/span><\/b>
\n<\/span>By region, MatHolding maintained its revenue split: 35% domestic and 65% international.<\/span>
\n<\/span>Internationally, India saw the most significant growth, with sales increasing by 62%. This was driven by major improvements to local water infrastructure, supported by government initiatives\u2014positioning India as a strategic growth market for MatHolding\u2019s water division. Mexico also recorded substantial growth of 58%, fuelled by a major liquid handling project for a leading global energy company.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In Spain, sales increased by 16%, thanks largely to the strong performance of Regaber (professional irrigation) and Hidroglobal (hydraulic solutions) in the first half of the year.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Looking ahead, MatHolding plans to continue advancing the strategic pillars of its three-year roadmap: strengthening market leadership, driving innovation and digitalisation, and accelerating international expansion. The group also intends to combine organic growth with targeted acquisitions of complementary businesses.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n\n
